Get a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes of the most important fashion event in Rome, as I take you through my experience as a photographer for Rome Fashion Week organized by AltaRoma, a renowned fashion company on the Italian scene. My task was to capture the essence of the backstage, from the arrival of the outfits to the preparation of models by hairstylists and makeup artists, before they hit the runway. For hours before the show, the backstage is a hive of activity, as everyone prepares for the event. From the organization, rehearsals, to the fitting of outfits, everything has to be perfect. As the show began, the air was filled with tension and excitement, especially for the stylists and models who paid tribute to the clothes by wearing them. Even during the show, the backstage never slows down. Timely outfit changes are crucial to keep the public waiting for the next creations to appear in front of them. My work didn’t end until the end of the evening, with the conclusion of the show. The exhaustion on everyone’s faces was evident, but so was the pride and joy of hours spent making sure everything was perfect, and above all, the success of the event.
